Official Bulletin No. 1 of the unified Communist Party of America, circa May 28, 1921
This document was issued by the unified Communist Party of America to inform its members of the party's formal formation by merger of the old Communist Party of America and the United Communist Party at the secret convention of May 15-28, 1921. The gathering was held outdoors near the premises of the Overlook Mountain House hotel, outside of Woodstock, New York. This document includes complete party constitution of the unified CPA, as well as the terms of the merger as decided by the "Liquidation Committee" of the two parties. A total of two issues of the typeset "Official Bulletin" were produced. The party continued to issue an underground publication known as "The Communist" as its official organ in this period.
